We are passionate about living lives of joy and wonder, about living and working in flow, and about being prepared for the unexpected. We love teaching others how to be situationally aware so that they maximize their own flow states and the flow states of those they work and live with.
Dr. Judith Glick-Smith has been a systems and communication professional since 1983. She has been studying the flow experiences of firefighters since 2007. Her book, "Flow-Based Leadership: What the Best Firefighters Can Teach You about Leadership and Making Hard Decisions" describes a model for organizational leadership which is based on the leadership model of the Georgia Smoke Diver program, an extreme, experiential training program in the fire service.
She partners with representatives from the fire service. These men and women confirm, solidify, and validate the concepts promoted by The Center for Flow-Based Leadership by providing a compassionate and servant-leadership perspective.
